The first time we drove up the Venkids Valley estate, Coorg, we went in looking for some of the yum Arabicas that grow on them fine “Pattes”. While we gobbled up a delicious lunch, Pavan and Shilpa told us many a tale of the “Fine Robusta” that they ship across some awesome roasters across the world. And boy when we sampled it, it blew us away! Robusta has been much maligned for far too long, but what Pavan’s doing with his Robusta, is really special, and it’s time we bust the hoodoo and sing some rhymes in its praise!

This blended roasted coffee features the lovely washed arabica from the Moganad Estate, and the naturally processed robusta from the Venkids Valley Estate, Coorg. But beware, if you’re expecting a bitter, boring blend, this will let you down! Ro-Busta Rhymes – Bloom Coffee Roasters is a super-duper tasty blend that really brings the best out of both species of the coffees, but what’s really interesting is the acidity and the sweetness in this blend come a great deal from the Robusta! We recommend you try this blend black just to really get a feel of what the robusta brings to it!
