Overview of the Course:
Upgrade your knowledge about the science behind perfect espresso, steamed/textured milk, and the craft of making latte art with ease from an Authorised SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) trainer. Further, learn about managing your time and being efficient in the coffee bar.
This program not only gives you the required knowledge but also a global certification which is highly valued by the coffee community Internationally.
DAY 1:
- Details of specialty coffee, origin, processing methods, varietals.
- The science behind espresso extraction and steaming milk.
- The Essential Elements of espresso and its effect on the final product.
- Revision of steaming / texturing milk.
- Design recipes for standard milk-based coffee beverages.
- Understand the flavors.
- Insights on workflow management, efficiency, health and safety, customer service, and basic business practices.
DAY 2:
- Practice for the exam by preparing various milk-based coffee beverages, designing recipes, and timing yourself.
- Finally, appear for the examination to earn your certificate from SCAI and SCA (if you opt for 1)
Note: One has to finish SCA Barista Skills – Foundation before taking this course.
