About Process:
Ratnagiri Sequentially Washed – Corridor Seven undergoes a unique process. The method of processing is very important, giving us a very balanced and clean cup! The green coffee beans are fermented for 12hours after de-pulping, followed by which green beans are washed and set for another round of fermentation. This unique process results in a very clean cup!
About Estate:
Ratnagiri means “Pearl Mountains,” and the silver oaks that tower over the intensely flavored shade-grown coffee lend the hills a silvery color, justifying their name. Mr. Patre K Shivappaiya, Mr. Ashok Patre’s grandfather, established this property around the turn of the twentieth century. Today, his grandson, Mr. Ashok Patre, looks after his legacy, making Ratnagiri Estate one of the top coffee farms in India, producing some of the finest Indian Specialty Coffee.
