Kollibyle Estate where the Kolliberri brand of coffee is grown and cultivated is located in Mudigere, Chikmanglur district of Karnataka, a state known for its long standing historry of coffee plantations. Located in Western Ghats – a recognised biodiversity hotspot, at a height of about 3500 feet above sea level, Kollibyle is surrounded by jungles and coffee plantations where fruits and spices are grown too.

The canopy of trees which provide shade to the coffee plants and the water bodies at and around the estate are home to several rare species of birds, mammals, butterflies and reptiles; coexisting in harmony and helping maintain the micro climate required for coffee cultivation.

Some of the commonly sighted birds are the Red Vented Bulbuls, Racket Tailed Drongos, Woodpeckers, Owls and the Malabar Hornbills, Bisons, the bats, a variety of snakes and civet cats can also be spotted in and around the estate, Their droppings add to the distinctive flavour of Kolliberri Coffee.
